The Mazongshan PV + Energy Storage Project, located in Subei Mongolian Autonomous County of Jiuquan City in Gansu Province, is a combination of a 10 MW/20 MWh energy storage station built by AlphaESS and a 50 MW photovoltaic power station constructed by Three Gorges Energy Investment. These two facilities work together to effectively shift from "source following demand" to "interaction between source and demand", improving the optimized allocation of grid resources and the utilization of clean energy, as well as reducing pressure on the grid during peak electricity demand. The project is expected to annually provide 8,697 kWh of clean energy and over 6 MWh of energy storage discharge, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 70,000 tons and driving the energy transition.
