From March, we have started a series of workshops designed to examine strategic, cross-cutting energy technology, policy, or related issues. These technical workshops is facilitated by Geoff Bragg, Director Smart Energy Council. With more than 18 years PV industry experience on off-grid, on-grid and energy storage, Geoff lives and breathes solar. Geoff is joined by special guests and experts from local industry. Victor Chen, Business Development Manager from AlphaESS gave an in-depth presentation on the major applications of energy storages, especially in areas of medium to large commercial and industrial adaption.

Under a high growth scenario, around 450,000 energy storage systems could be installed by 2020.

The combination of residential and commercial energy storage could deliver 3 gigawatt hours (GWh) of distributed storage by 2020.
